Scope and Objective

The Iranian Journal of Astronomy & Astrophysics (IJAA) is a peer-reviewed, international journal dedicated to publishing original research papers, comprehensive review articles, and short communications in all fields of astronomy and astrophysics. IJAA emphasizes interdisciplinary approaches, including instrumentation, numerical methods, solar and stellar astrophysics, extragalactic studies, cosmology, and high-energy particles. It is a platform to disseminate knowledge, foster academic dialogue, and establish communication channels between researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals.

 

Peer Review Process

All submissions undergo a rigorous peer-review process conducted by leading experts. Manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using iThenticate before entering the review process, ensuring the publication of impactful research while maintaining ethical standards.

 

Publication Policy

  • Frequency: Four issues per year from 2023 (previously two issues per year from 2014 to 2022).
  • Open Access: IJAA is an open-access journal licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), ensuring unrestricted access to all published content.
  • Language: IJAA only accepts papers written in English.
  • Fees: No page charges apply except for color figures.

 

Article Types

IJAA welcomes:

  • Original Research Articles presenting novel findings.
  • Comprehensive Review Articles summarizing advancements in the field.
  • Short Communications offering concise yet impactful contributions.

Conference papers abstracted in proceedings are also considered for submission.

 

Journal Policies

IJAA follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and complies with the highest ethical standards. Authors retain copyright ownership while granting permission for reuse under the CC BY 4.0 license.
